My Work
01
This product line explores my own experience growing up around frequent earthquakes and other natural disasters in Chile. A true exploration of emotions, such as grief, loss, panic, fear, and pain, which are communicated and translated in the form of color stories, textures in different textiles, and overall mood that resonates with my vision for this collection, creating an explorative, imaginative world where I celebrate and use all these negative emotions and experiences to create something beautiful out of it and look at it as an opportunity for growth and overcoming trauma.
02
A nostalgic collection of fashion products that embody emotions and memories.
This project, inspired by maximalist interior design, NYC night life, and romance, is a celebration of self-expression and storytelling through personal objects that feel collected over time.

Before starting to work on our Thesis collections in senior year, we were assigned a short 2-week long group project where we were asked to pick at least two NYC locations from six different categories, which included places to visit, like museums or parks, fashion archives or retail places, like thrift stores or designer archives, specialist suppliers, like leather stores or trimming stores, etc... After visiting and researching these locations we proposed the idea of creating a NYC based nail salon that collaborates in partnership with NYC: The Official Guide, promoting tourism and local activity in the city. Each nail design we created was inspired by one of the locations we picked from the list, and we also created a website design prototype for our nail salon, along with billboard designs and advertisement with a QR code that can be scanned to visit the website.

Taking inspiration from the craft of saddle making, this project consists of a lengthy research on how this craft solves problems by giving support, comfort, and sturdiness to the person utilizing a saddle. After doing draping explorations incorporating these characteristic elements, I was able to translate these functional aspects into my own vision in fashion and wearable garment designs.
